On Tuesday, August 12, he was reported missing by a friend, after which he was found dead three days later following a report to the Belgian police. The police suspect that Sherwin was at a residence at Bijlmerplein in Amsterdam shortly before his death. It is possible that a crime occurred in this residence.

On Sunday, August 31, a 40-year-old woman from Amsterdam was arrested at Schiphol Airport. The Amsterdam resident is suspected of being involved in the mans death.
