A 47-year-old man without a fixed residence was arrested on Wednesday after buying drugs from a dealer on the street. Two men, aged 28 and 29, also without fixed residence, were arrested on suspicion of trafficking and possession of hard drugs. During a search of a house on Dommelstraat (Geleen), the resident was arrested. He is also suspected of violating the Opium Act. In a house on Havikstraat (Sittard), soft drugs and two firearms were seized. During a search of a house on Dinkelstraat (Geleen), a vehicle was seized. This vehicle was used for drug trafficking. No one was present during the searches of the last two houses.
The police investigation continues. Among other things, it is being investigated which hard drugs were seized and in what quantity. The investigation also focuses on the network surrounding the arrested suspects.
