The police received multiple reports from the writer regarding various (online) threats directed at her. The detectives, along with digital specialists, investigated the threats. The investigation led to two suspects being identified. On Tuesday, August 5, the first suspect was arrested: a 26-year-old man from Purmerend. On Thursday, August 7, the second arrest followed of a 21-year-old man from Best. The police do not rule out further arrests.
