It is around 4:30 PM on Tuesday, September 9, when the control room receives calls about the incident. People see the delivery person being assaulted and robbed by two men. One of the men runs away with a package, while the other flees in a car. Based on the information from the callers, such as clear descriptions, officers who have immediately gone to the scene begin a search for the robbers. Successfully: not long after, they arrest a suspect in a hospitality establishment. Information from bystanders is crucial here, just as it is in locating the stolen package. That too is quickly found and seized in the immediate vicinity.
Meanwhile, other officers are searching for the robber in the car. Witnesses have remembered and reported the license plate, which is of great help. At one point, the officers see the vehicle driving, and shortly after, bystanders approach them, as the man from the car is now said to be walking on the street. This suspect can also be arrested quickly.
Arrested Suspects
The arrested suspects are a 29-year-old man from Amsterdam and a 39-year-old man from Zoetermeer. The duo is in custody, and their role in the robbery is being investigated.
Stolen Package
Based on the initial investigation, the detectives suspect that the robbers specifically targeted the stolen package. The basis for these suspicions and the exact contents of the package cannot be shared at this time in the interest of the investigation.
