Pursuit
During the pursuit, the police activated sirens and flashing lights. The driver of the motocross bike refused to stop and attempted to escape. On Bodegravenstraat, the motocross bike went out of sight of the officers. Just at that moment, the driver of the motocross bike collided with a cyclist. The cyclist was injured in the process.

After the collision, the driver of the motocross bike fled towards Borculopark. Several officers began a search. One officer stayed with the injured cyclist and provided first aid until the ambulance arrived. The cyclist was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
 

An observant passerby
A little later, a passerby called the police. He saw the driver of the motocross bike walking on Bingelradestraat. The officers went there and apprehended the man. The motocross bike and the suspects phone were seized for further investigation. His drivers license was also confiscated.
The suspect is a 21-year-old man from Tilburg. He is still in custody and is being interrogated.
