Around 10:00 PM, after doing his shopping, the man returned to his fatbike and saw two men standing by his bike. He addressed them, but the men cut through the lock and freed the bike. One of the men struck the victim with the cut chain lock. The victim defended himself, causing the lock to hit his arm. Nevertheless, he decided to pursue them. At that moment, one of the perpetrators, a man about 40 years old with a light brown complexion, a gray hat, and a dark blue jacket, made a movement as if pulling something from his pockets. Because the victim thought this could be a weapon, he stopped the pursuit. One of the men walked away, while the other rode off on the recently stolen fatbike towards Vredeman de Vriesstraat. The victim filed a report and went to the urgent care center for his injuries.
