One of the boys managed to escape. The police initiated a chase and managed to catch him. He turned out to be in possession of a firearm. The other three were subjected to a search, and items belonging to the victim were found.

The four suspects, all underage boys from Purmerend, have been arrested.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is receiving treatment there. He has filed a report of the robbery.
