The detectives from the Markdal team received an anonymous tip a few months ago that a man might be making and/or dealing drugs. There were enough indications to start an investigation into this 24-year-old resident of Etten-Leur.

Arrest

On Thursday, August 21, 2025, the investigation had progressed to a stage where the suspect could be arrested. The team saw the suspect coming out of a shed on Bennebroekerdijk in Cruquius with a box and driving away. The car he was driving was pulled over, and the box contained 13.5 kg of hard drugs. He was immediately arrested.

Drug Laboratory

Shortly thereafter, the shed in Cruquius was raided. There, the team found a large drug lab for producing 4MMC. Specialists from the National Facility for Dismantling (LFO) dismantled the lab and removed the equipment.

Two More Locations

Immediately after, the team raided a house on Liesbosweg in Etten-Leur where a cutting location was found for the distribution of various types of hard drugs. Dozens of liters of flammable chemicals were also found, posing a danger to the immediate environment as microwaves were used throughout the process. During this raid, a 22-year-old resident of Etten-Leur was arrested. A raid was also conducted in a house in Breda where a large quantity, about ten kilos, of various types of drugs was found. Everything was seized. The investigation is ongoing, and the suspects are in custody.
