Dangerous Driving
A bystander observed a car driving dangerously. The car was damaged and the airbag had deployed. The police rushed to the reported location. On the way, the officers received continuous updates from the caller about the cars location. Shortly after, the officers spotted the vehicle. They ordered the driver to exit the car, but she refused. The officers aimed their stun gun but did not use it. They pulled the woman out of the car. She did not cooperate, but eventually the officers managed to handcuff her. She was taken to the police station.

Woman Hits Officer
In the cell, the officers removed the handcuffs. The woman was still angry and struck an officer. The officer filed a report for assault. The 30-year-old woman from Sint Jansteen remains in custody and is being questioned. An investigation is ongoing to determine if the driver was under the influence.

Violence Against Police Officers (VAPO)
The police consider aggression and violence against their staff or other emergency workers unacceptable. Police officers have a responsible role in society and must be able to perform their duties without hindrance, with mutual respect. Aggression or violence, in any form, against staff is not tolerated. Police and justice authorities apply the same approach: reports are always filed, perpetrators are prioritized by the Public Prosecution Service for prosecution, and perpetrators face penalties three times as severe.
