On Tuesday, August 19, at 03:07, officers received a report of a car fire on the Siriusdreef in Hoofddorp. Upon arrival, they saw a car on the road engulfed in flames. The fire department extinguished the fire, but the car was beyond saving. 

The officers split up to search for evidence. One officer noticed a trail by the bus lane, followed it, and found the suspect. A 48-year-old man from Sweden was arrested. The police are conducting further investigations.
