The suspect fled the house. The woman reflexively tried to pull open the front door, but it was held shut from the other side. After she started screaming, the suspect allegedly hit and kicked her, causing her to fall. The suspect then fled the scene. In addition to the assault, the suspect caused damage inside the home. He also stole a mobile phone, a sum of money, and a keychain. These items have not been recovered. 

Following the burglary, the police immediately launched an investigation. This investigation led to the arrest on December 11. 

Arrest
The suspect has since been presented to the examining magistrate and remanded in custody.
