When they went to investigate, they discovered that the front door had been forced open. Immediately after, they saw a person running away towards Valkenberg Park.
The witnesses quickly shared a description of the suspect, after which multiple officers searched the area. Shortly thereafter, a man matching the description was stopped. He turned out to be a 31-year-old man from Poland, known to the police with a history of burglaries.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary and vandalism. The police are investigating the case.
