A resident of Dorpstraat in Woensdrecht reported around midnight that his camper was stolen. The owner of the camper woke up from noises on his property. When he looked out the window, he saw that his camper was being stolen and at that moment drove away in the direction of Hoogerheide. The owner immediately called 112, after which several police cars arrived at the scene.
Police officers who were already in Hoogerheide at that time drove directly to the entrance of the A58. Moments later, they saw the same camper entering the highway. The camper was signaled to stop, and at the exit of Tholen, the driver stopped. Within no more than fifteen minutes, the police solved the case, and the suspect, a 35-year-old man without a fixed address, was arrested. The camper is returning to its rightful owner, and the police continue the investigation.
