They tried to persuade a 69-year-old resident of Hippolytushoef to hand over his valuable belongings.

With the - unfortunately - now well-known story that the police wanted to secure them to prevent theft. However, the reporter was very alert and informed people around him, who called the police. When the fake officer appeared at the door, she was apprehended by real officers who were already inside with the victim. The suspect is a 23-year-old woman from Amsterdam.

Soon after, a vehicle was stopped on the A7, which had previously been seen in Hippolytushoef.

Inside were two men aged 27 and 46 from South Holland. They are suspected of involvement in this fraud and were also arrested.

The most important tip remains that the police do not come to your door to secure belongings because there is a burglary nearby. If you receive such a call, immediately dial 112. This victim was very alert, and quick action prevented worse outcomes.
