It is around 7:15 PM on Friday evening, May 9, when gunshots suddenly ring out on Disketteweg in Amsterdam-Noord. Immediately afterwards, several suspects drive away in vehicles. Officers who arrive quickly on the scene immediately give chase. One of the vehicles is brought to a stop on Klaprozenweg. The other vehicle comes to a stop against a pole near P+R Amsterdam-Noord. One suspect was injured in this incident. This suspect has been taken to a hospital. The other three suspects have been arrested and taken to the station. That same evening, the injured suspect was also detained. No one was injured in the shooting incident itself. All four suspects are in custody and under restrictions.

The four suspects are an 18-year-old, a 21-year-old, and a 26-year-old man from Amsterdam and a 25-year-old Dutch man without a fixed residence.
