Shortly after midnight, the reporter arrives at her car at the carpool lot. She then sees two young men standing by the cars. Both are wearing a black hoodie with the hood over their heads. When they realize they have been seen, the suspects hide behind an electricity shed. The reporter then sees that her car has been broken into and she calls the police. When they arrive on the scene, the suspects are already gone, presumably having fled on foot through the cornfields. The police see that at least three cars have been broken into and invite victims to come to the station to file a report, quoting case number 2025166485.
