In addition to the criminal investigation led by the Public Prosecution Service, the polices Safety, Integrity and Complaints department has also initiated a disciplinary investigation.
After the investigation is completed, the public prosecutor will decide on the resolution of the case. The officer was suspended earlier in the investigation and has since had no access to police buildings or systems.
