The incoming reports, which were made not only through the police but also via Meld Misdaad Anoniem and the Buiten Beter app of the municipality, formed the basis for visible and invisible measures taken by the police in recent times. The police cannot disclose details about these measures, but the result of these reports was that on Tuesday afternoon, January 27, the police raided the property and searched the house under the supervision of an examining magistrate.
Reporting helps
Two residents of the house were arrested; one is being prosecuted for possession of drugs and is currently in custody. The other was released on Tuesday evening. The officers found only a small amount of hard drugs in the house.
The police emphasize that reporting really helps. If you see suspicious situations or suspect drugs are being sold in your neighborhood, report it. You can do this via the polices general phone number (0900-8844), or you can provide information anonymously through Meld Misdaad Anoniem. This can be done via the website (www.meldmisdaadanoniem.nl) or by phone at 0800-7000.
Another raid
After the search at the Verkuijl Quakkelaarstraat house was completed, based on obtained information, the officers also raided a house on Margrietenlaan in Vlissingen. No one was arrested at this location. However, a small amount of flakka was seized. The officers also confiscated four pieces of ammunition (live rounds).
