On Friday, December 12, 2025, at 10:35 PM, several reports came in that a serious fight was taking place in a room of a building on Zonnebloemstraat between two men. Officers rushed to the location.
Arrest
They had difficulty entering the room because an injured man was lying behind the door. After securing him, they re-entered the room to arrest the suspect. After using a stun gun, the aggressive suspect was brought under control. He was taken to Torentijd; he is a 49-year-old man of Russian nationality. The victim, a 65-year-old man also of Russian nationality, was transported by trauma helicopter to the hospital. The investigation is ongoing.
