Police Investigates Explosions at Store

On the night of Tuesday, November 11 to Wednesday, November 12, an explosion occurred at a store on Heksenakker. The police suspect that a fire was caused by fireworks. An investigation has been launched and the police seek witnesses.

Residents heard several loud bangs around 3:20 AM and alerted emergency services. At the scene, responders saw significant damage to the store. The glass facade was shattered and a fire had started. The fire department extinguished the fire. Four homes were evacuated as a precaution. Once the area was declared safe, residents were allowed to return home. No one was injured.

Earlier Arson
On Sunday, October 5, 2025, around 4:00 AM, a report of arson was made at the same store. An explosive was also reportedly detonated then, causing a small fire. The police are investigating whether the two incidents are related.
