Police received a report around 01:20 AM that a stone had been thrown through a window of a hospitality venue on Brunostraat. Thanks to alert neighbors, a good description was provided, after which officers began searching the area. They soon learned that someone was running towards Westerpark. This man matched the given description.

At Westerpark, officers indeed found a man who fit the description. When the man saw the officers, he dove into the bushes and then walked away. The 20-year-old man from Rijen was recognized and taken in as a suspect for the damage to the hospitality venue. He is being questioned for further investigation.
