Drug Lab Found and Five Arrests in Major Investigation into Hard Drug Trade in Friesland

In a major investigation into the trade of hard drugs, the police discovered a drug lab on April 9 in a commercial building on Dobbe in Grou. This lab was no longer operational, but a large quantity of narcotics was seized at the location. Two individuals were arrested on site, a 26-year-old man and a 63-year-old man from Grou.

The police also conducted entries, searches, and arrests at various locations in Friesland. This includes a 27-year-old man from Alkmaar, a 34-year-old man from Akkrum, and a 38-year-old man from Franeker. Searches were carried out in residences and commercial buildings in Grou, Wolvega, Harlingen, and Franeker.

Investigation Continues
The investigation is not yet complete with the discovery of the drug lab and the arrest of five suspects. The five suspects will be interrogated. Various other items, such as data carriers, have also been seized from the residences and commercial buildings, which will be further investigated. More arrests are not ruled out.
