At around 3:15 AM, officers received a report of an assault in Torenstraat. A victim was reportedly lying on the ground and being assaulted by one or more suspects who had fled the scene. The officers rushed to the location and saw two individuals on Oude Vest matching the description. Both men were detained. One of them, a 20-year-old man from Breda, was arrested on suspicion of involvement in this assault. The suspect was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was taken to the station.
The victim was taken to the hospital. The police are further investigating the case.
