Slight Decrease in Number of Explosive Attacks in 2025

Preliminary figures from the Offensive against Explosions show that in 2025, there were 1,525 (attempted) explosive attacks in the Netherlands. This is 18 fewer than in 2024 when the count was 1,543. Although there is a slight decrease, the number remains too high. The consequences of explosions are severe, sometimes causing fatalities or serious injuries. The Offensive continues its efforts to reduce attacks on homes, businesses, and vehicles.
