In the field behind the house of a resident on the Buitendijk in Strijen, there suddenly appeared a number of campers, vans, and cars on Saturday evening. The owner saw that the lock on his gate had been cut open and that the gate was ajar. On his land, a group of people was busy setting up a party tent and building a sound system. The man called the police. When the first officers told the group that everyone had to leave the field, the attendees did not comply. More officers were called, and in consultation with the mayor, everyone was ordered to leave the premises. This time, the attendees complied, packed up their belongings, and all vehicles departed. The owners land was left damaged. The exact damage is still unknown.
The police remained in the area with several units after the group left to prevent an illegal party from being set up at another location.
