Report

At approximately 02:35, the police received a report of a fight at Weaze in Leeuwarden. When officers arrived on the scene, loud bangs, possibly gunshots, were heard. Two individuals were arrested for possible involvement in the incident. These are a 42-year-old man and a 38-year-old man, both from Leeuwarden. They are in custody and being interrogated. The 42-year-old man was slightly injured in the incident but did not need to go to the hospital. Both men are still in custody.

Investigation

The police are conducting further investigation into the circumstances and background of the incident. Forensic investigation has been carried out on site. This investigation will continue today in the area of the incident. Additionally, we have spoken with witnesses and are reviewing any available camera footage from the area.

It is believed that there was an interpersonal conflict between those involved.
