On the night of July 1, 2025, an explosion occurred at a house on Bouwerij in Amstelveen. A day later, on July 2, an explosion took place on Vondelweg in Haarlem. That night, a 19-year-old man from the municipality of Vijfheerenlanden was caught in the act and arrested. On July 8, another explosion occurred at the house on Vondelweg in Haarlem, and on the same night, another explosion took place on Bouwerij. Based on investigations, the police suspect a connection between these four explosions.
Investigation
The Kennemerland district detective unit is investigating the explosions and has arrested six suspects recently. They are suspected of one or more arson attacks. Two suspects are currently in custody. The investigation continues and more arrests are not ruled out.
