On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, the Second Chamber elections will take place. For the first time, a voting aid is available for voters that specifically addresses Caribbean Netherlands. The Voting Compass Caribbean Netherlands consists of 25 general statements, supplemented by 5 statements specifically related to Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba.
Voting Aid
To understand the different plans of the political parties, voters can use a voting aid. This is a tool to see the positions of the parties. Voters must answer questions about political issues and then see where they stand in relation to the political parties.
Statements Caribbean Netherlands
Generally, there is little attention to local themes during national elections, while these are often important for voters. The statements added to the Voting Compass Caribbean Netherlands address local themes such as the representation of Caribbean Netherlands in the Second Chamber, the minimum wage in Caribbean Netherlands, and the approach to the effects of climate change on our islands.
By answering the statements, voters can compare their positions with those of the political parties.
Voting Compass
Voting Compass is a voting aid where, after 30 statements, you get to see the national political landscape, the axis system with the position of the various political parties. All positions of the political parties are checked based on official party documents. This guarantees the reliability of the Voting Compass.
