Worldwide, the month of October is dedicated to breast cancer. We, from Population Screening Caribbean Netherlands, reflect on the impact breast cancer has on our society. We think of everyone who is fighting, has fought, or lost someone to this disease.
Breast Cancer Month Initiatives 2025
As part of Breast Cancer Month, various activities are organized:
- Friday, October 17
As a sign of support and awareness, we will wear something pink on Friday, October 17: the color in the fight against breast cancer. Will you join us? - Wednesday, October 22
In collaboration with Fundashon Mariadal, we are organizing a special walk-in for women aged 50 to 75 on Wednesday, October 22. From 08:00 to 12:00, women are welcome without an appointment for a mammogram (X-ray of the breasts). - Friday, October 31
We will conclude the month with a fun and educational evening on Friday, October 31, from 18:00 to 21:00. During this meeting, we will provide information about the breast cancer screening in an informal setting. The evening will be combined with the popular game “Bon ku ne”. Fun and awareness go hand in hand!
For the meeting on Friday, October 31 , you can register with us. The location and further details of the meeting will be shared with you after registration. Registration is possible until October 26.
