The works scheduled for January 9-11, 2026 on the A2 between the St. Joost (44) and Born (47) junctions will not take place. Due to expected bad weather conditions, the works are postponed by one week.
This section of the A2 will be closed on the night of January 16 in the direction of Maastricht and on the night of January 17 in the direction of Eindhoven.
During the works at the Slagmolen viaduct, beams for the viaduct will be installed. Additionally, work is being done on the foundation for new portals and repairs are being made to the guardrails along the A2.
Closures
- Friday, January 16, 9:00 PM to Saturday, January 17, 8:00 AM
The A2 towards Maastricht is closed between the St. Joost (44) and Born (47) junctions. The Het Anker rest area will not be accessible.
- Saturday, January 17, 9:00 PM to Sunday, January 18, 8:00 AM
The A2 towards Eindhoven is closed between the Born (47) and St. Joost (44) junctions. The Bosserhof rest area will not be accessible.
Disruptions and detours A2
Allow for an additional travel time of approximately ten minutes. Traffic will be diverted via the indicated detour routes along the road.
