The A9 is closed in one direction from Holendrecht Junction to Badhoevedorp Junction starting the evening of March 31, 2025. The closure will last at least until after the morning rush hour on April 1, 2025.
Traffic from Utrecht/Almere towards Schiphol/Haarlem is being diverted via the A2, A10, and A4 and should expect significant additional travel time in the morning of April 1, which could exceed 60 minutes.
Contractor VeenIX carried out preparatory work last weekend for installing an expansion joint at the Schiphol Bridge. During these works, damage to the concrete of the bridge deck occurred. The damage is being investigated and will be repaired.
To ensure safety, the A9 towards Badhoevedorp Junction is closed as a precaution. Once the damage is repaired, the A9 towards Badhoevedorp Junction will be reopened. This is expected to last at least until after the morning rush hour.
Road users are advised to prepare their journey well. This can be done via the route planner on Rijkswaterstaat traffic information and by using up-to-date navigation systems.
