From July 12, 2025, we will resume the operation of the Buitenhuizer Bridge over Zijkanaal C. The work has been completed, making the bridge available for high shipping.
The operating regime will largely be aligned with the regime of the nearby bridge in the A9 Spaarndam over Zijkanaal C.
Work on Buitenhuizer Bridge
The Buitenhuizer Bridge, located on the N202, was closed to shipping above 6.82 m (Canal level) because it could not be safely operated. The bridge is part of the Standing Mast Route. After replacing parts and making technical adjustments, the problems have been resolved.
Operation Regime of Buitenhuizer Bridge
Starting Saturday, July 12, 2025, the Buitenhuizer Bridge will be operated according to a regime that is linked to the regime of the bridge in the A9 Spaarndam. Additionally, there will be an extra opening in the afternoon and evening. Shipping has been informed via a Message to Shipping (BAS).
