The works at the Terschelling ferry port are entering the final phase. During the week of March 17, 2025, the renovated pedestrian bridge will be reinstalled and extensively tested. On Thursday, March 20, the renovated car and pedestrian bridges will be put back into use.
Furthermore, the works on the quays of the ferry port will be completed in the coming weeks. The work on the concession area is still in full swing. The area is currently being redesigned with new paving and fencing. The car staging area will also be asphalted this spring.
The works will not affect the schedule of Rederij Doeksen, and disruptions will be minimized. Adjusted walking routes for passengers of Rederij Doeksen will be indicated on-site, and passenger flows will be managed during busy departures. All site works are expected to be completed by June, before the start of the Oerol Festival.
