The A12 will fully reopen during the night. The morning rush hour will no longer be affected by the works.
A12 to reopen during the night
Last week, during works, a sinkhole was discovered in the central reservation on the embankment of the A12 between the Velperbroek interchange and the IJssel bridges near Arnhem. Since Friday 24 October 2025, efforts have been underway to fix the problem.
Measures have been taken to prevent the situation from recurring. Then the hole was filled with sand. We are currently paving the highway, after which the guardrails still need to be repaired and road markings applied. The A12 will reopen during the night as soon as the works are completely finished. This way, traffic during the morning rush hour will no longer be affected by the works.
