On November 4, 2025, the installation of new bollards in the new chamber of Panheel Lock was completed. This year, a total of fourteen floating bollards were installed.
22 Bollards
The new chamber has a total of 22 bollards. 21 of these are currently operational; unfortunately, 1 is not functioning. This will be addressed.
Old Chamber Work
The doors at both the upper and lower heads of the old chamber have now been removed. Contractor consortium Orion is working on repairing the pivot points and assessing further damage to the lock heads.
