On September 4, 2025, the temporary bridge Uitwellingerga was installed for road traffic. The bridge will open on September 18. In the meantime, we will carry out the final work.
What are we going to do?
We are doing the final preparatory work for setting up the definitive traffic situation. This means that we will place over 660 anchors to securely attach the bridge railing, apply road markings, and install and connect the traffic control system.
We will also place and connect the light poles and install the necessary traffic signs. In addition, we will ensure that the new bridge connects to the existing bridge. Everything will be prepared to safely and ready for use open the bridge for traffic.
Opening of the bridge on September 18, 2025
After the completion of this work, the temporary bridge will be opened for all traffic on September 18, 2025, at 17:00. Until then, the bicycle bridge and the road under the bridge at the Brêgefinne can be used normally.
