Attention employers and public transport providers! Are you already using a coach, line bus, or bus with employees to a work location via the A67? Or are you planning to do so? And do you not want to be stuck in traffic? Then arrange an exemption so that you can also drive on the emergency lane during traffic jams.

With Bus-on-Emergency-Lane (BoV), Rijkswaterstaat, Province of North Brabant, and Brainport Bereikbaar aim to encourage the use of public transport. This contributes to the accessibility of the Brainport region, reduces car traffic, and thus lowers CO2 emissions.

Travel time more reliable

BoV is a measure that allows buses to use the emergency lane during traffic jams. This makes travel time more reliable. Public transport lines and private transport for employees and/or students can apply for an exemption. Brainport Bereikbaar guides this process together with Rijkswaterstaat. On the A67 the section between exit Eersel (30) and exit Valkenswaard/Veldhoven (31) towards Eindhoven has been prepared for BoV. To commemorate the realization of the project, employers and transporters gathered on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the invitation of Rijkswaterstaat, Province of North Brabant, and Brainport Bereikbaar. It is a milestone that is the result of good cooperation between all partners in the region.

Other routes

With BoV, we are taking a visible step towards an accessible and sustainable Brainport region. The A67 is just the beginning. In 2026, BoV will also be available on parts of the A50 and A2.
