The Housing Construction Impulse (WBI) program helps municipalities in building affordable housing. The assessment framework of the WBI has been adjusted. This makes it easier for municipalities to apply. The WBI opens on September 15 and closes on October 8.

Due to the adjusted assessment, municipalities need to provide less administrative information with their application. As a result, the program has become more accessible and the preparation takes less time.

Encouraging Housing Projects

The Housing Construction Impulse is intended for housing projects that are not feasible without support from the government. For example, due to high infrastructure costs or to tackle soil remediation. There is extra attention for affordable housing, especially for starters and people with low or middle incomes.

Budget of € 120 million

For this 7th round of the WBI, € 120 million is available. This amount is aligned with the expected number of applications. The total budget of the Housing Construction Impulse until 2029 is € 515 million.

Start on Time

The application forms are already available on the website of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). Municipalities are wise to start preparing now and to look carefully at the conditions.
