In recent years, the budget for the Subsidy Scheme for Sustainable Social Real Estate (DUMAVA) was often quickly depleted. This year, not only is the subsidy pot larger, but it is also currently not empty. More than half of the total budget is still available. Owners of social real estate can therefore still apply for subsidies.
This subsidy scheme finances the sustainability of, among others, schools, sports clubs, cultural institutions, and monuments.
Late Applicants Also Have a Chance
Owners of schools, sports clubs, cultural institutions, and monuments could still apply for more than €209 million on July 16. This is more than half of the total budget of €405 million. The RVO processes applications until October 31, 2025, or until the budget is exhausted. Late applicants therefore still have a chance to receive DUMAVA subsidies.
Energy Advice and Budget Before October 31, 2025
Preparing the application takes time. For the application, a suitable sustainability advice and an investment budget for the measures are required. If an applicant now has an energy advice prepared, there is still enough time to finalize the application before the end of October.
What Does It Yield?
The subsidy scheme encourages owners of social real estate to make their buildings more sustainable. This often involves large buildings, such as care institutions, schools, and government buildings. By reducing their energy consumption and CO2 emissions, they have a positive impact on the climate. With a sustainable building, the owner also saves significantly on energy costs.
