Are you active in waste management and the circular economy and want to do business in South Africa? Then the Partners for International Business (PIB) program Waste and Circular Economy Netherlands - South Africa might be interesting for you: sign up quickly!
Are you interested in business opportunities in South Africa regarding major waste streams? And are you active in organic waste, plastics, and e-waste? Or in circular construction, renewable energy, and water pollution? Then you can participate in this program!
What does the PIB program entail?
In a PIB program, a group (cluster) of Dutch companies enters into an agreement with RVO. Over 3 years, this cluster positions itself in the South African market with, among other things:
- trade missions including matchmaking
- incoming visits
- a representative on-site
- support from the Dutch embassy in Pretoria and the consulate-general in Cape Town
Previous programs in Colombia, Indonesia, and Australia have shown that this joint approach can be very effective.
The company MetaSus - European Sustainable Solutions is taking the initiative for this PIB program, following a trade mission to South Africa in 2023. For now, the focus will be on the Western Cape (Cape Town), Gauteng (Johannesburg/ Pretoria), and Kwazulu Natal (Durban).
Who is it for?
Participation in this PIB program is open to Dutch suppliers of products and services in the field of waste management and circular economy. You can still join!
Other participants in this cluster include:
- BinBin Group
- Sweco
- TNO
- Wast-E
Water Alliance and Holland Circular Hotspot are collaborative partners.
Costs and investment
Participation in this PIB costs € 2,500 excluding VAT per company per year.
RVO invests approximately € 350,000 in the program over its duration.
