Are you active in the hydrogen sector, or are you working on innovative solutions within the energy transition? And do you want to do business in the Gulf region? Then you now have the chance to enter this market together with other companies. Join the PIB cluster Hydrogen: The Netherlands–Gulf Region.
Collaboration for a hydrogen-driven future
The PIB program is a collaboration between the Dutch government and companies. This collaboration focuses on new market opportunities across the entire hydrogen value chain. This means: the production, storage, transport, and use of green molecules. Think of hydrogen, ammonia, and e-fuels.
An important result of this collaboration is the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This MoU demonstrates the growing collaboration between Oman and the Netherlands in the production and export of hydrogen.
Marcel Kooter (Holland Hydrogen Hub) and Abdulaziz Al Shidhani (Hydrom) signed the MoU during the World Hydrogen Summit in Rotterdam. The Omani Deputy Minister of Energy and Minerals H.E. Eng. Mohsin Al Hadhrami, and the Mayor of Rotterdam Carola Schouten were also present.
Opportunities for Dutch entrepreneurs
The Gulf region has big plans to become a global leader in clean hydrogen. Especially the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Oman are investing billions in this. The countries want to produce renewable energy on a large scale.
This PIB cluster offers you the chance to seek collaboration and share knowledge. You will also receive assistance with matchmaking and market entry. Furthermore, you have the opportunity to participate in trade missions.
The business cluster PIB Hydrogen: The Netherlands–Gulf Region is open to the following Dutch companies:
- Companies with expertise in:
- electrolysis and production of hydrogen and derivatives;
- conversion technologies (such as ammonia, LOHC, e-methane);
- storage, transport, and certification;
- industrial applications and markets for hydrogen and green molecules;
- engineering, digitalization, water management, risk management, or financing.
- Potential suppliers, technology partners, or consumers of green molecules.
- Parties in the (petro)chemistry, steel, fertilizers, mobility, maritime sector, and energy-intensive industries.
