What does the PIB program entail?

In a PIB program, a group (cluster) of Dutch companies enters into an agreement with RVO. Over a period of 3 years, this cluster positions itself in the South African market with, among other things:

• trade missions including matchmaking;
• incoming visits;
• a local representative;
• support from the Dutch embassy in Pretoria and the consulate-general in Cape Town.

Previous programs in Colombia, Indonesia, and Australia have shown that this collaborative approach can be very effective.

The company MetaSus - European Sustainable Solutions initiates this PIB program, following a trade mission to South Africa in 2023. For now, the focus will be on the Western Cape (Cape Town), Gauteng (Johannesburg/Pretoria), and Kwazulu Natal (Durban).

Who is it for?

Participation in this PIB program is open to Dutch suppliers of products and services in the field of waste management and circular economy. You can still join here.

Costs and investment

Participation in this PIB costs € 2,500 excluding VAT per company per year.

RVO invests approximately € 350,000 in the program during its duration.
