On Beethovenlaan in Zwolle, 4 VvEs are working together to renovate their buildings. This is the first project that has been established with support from the Subsidy Scheme for Process Support in Scaling Renovation Projects (SPOR). It certainly wont be the last project.
Funding for Process Support
The SPOR makes it easier for homeowners to jointly make more homes sustainable. The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) implements the scheme. Homeowners apply for subsidies for process support as a partnership. With this support, they bundle their renovation plans more efficiently. In return for this support, homeowners implement at least 2 insulation measures in each renovated home.
Not 2, but 4 VvE’s thanks to SPOR
The project in Zwolle has already established a sustainability plan with process guidance. Currently, the work is taking place. The SPOR elevated this project to a higher level. Without the SPOR, at most 2 VvEs would have participated in the sustainability efforts. Thanks to the subsidy for process support, 4 VvEs decided together to improve the floor, cavity, and roof insulation for all 4 buildings.
Bat Colonies in Cavity Walls
Of the 4 buildings, one building is already completed. That building was given some priority because maintenance was also needed there. The sustainability efforts were carried out simultaneously. Only the cavity wall insulation has not yet been executed because colonies of bats reside there. This work will begin soon.
Sufficient Subsidy Available
VvEs that also want to finance process support should apply for SPOR by September 30, 2026: then the scheme will close. There is still plenty of subsidy for new applications. RVO also has budget available for sustainability studies and measures. The latter goes through the Subsidy Scheme for Sustainability for Owners Associations (SVVE).
