The NVWA will conduct random physical inspections at dairy farms over the coming months to determine manure stocks. The inspections will take place from December 15, 2025, through February 15, 2026.
During the inspection, the NVWA determines the manure stock. Inspectors do this by performing measurements and calculations. Cooperation from the dairy farmer may be necessary to confirm that the entire stock has been accounted for. Inspectors may also request building plans, lease agreements, livestock balance cards, and personal calculations. Providing access to the requested documents is mandatory.
Additional Agricultural Data
The measurement results and calculations are discussed with the dairy farmer. These data can be used to submit the Additional Agricultural Data (AGL). This submission must include, among other things, the actual size of the manure stock as of December 31, 2025.
Note: If you are a dairy farmer, you are responsible for submitting the correct manure stock in the AGL. You do not have to wait for a visit from the NVWA before submitting the AGL.
The NVWA uses the measurement results and calculations to assess the accuracy of the submitted AGL. Furthermore, the results can be used in an analysis of usage standards.
