On May 19, 2025, the United Kingdom and the EU discussed a reset of the Brexit agreements. A principle agreement was made to review the Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) processes over the next 6 months. The expectation is that border processes will be simplified or even scaled down. However, there are currently no new agreements.
This means that from July 1, the inspection and certification requirement will come into effect for the export of vegetables and fruits to the UK. There is currently no reason to expect this will be adjusted or postponed. Therefore, prepare for this inspection requirement. As soon as we know more about any new agreements, we will inform you.
