The spring is located near Prins Willem Alexanderlaan (PWA-laan). The western springhead is near Nevenlandsehof and the southern springheads are near Blekersweg. Huizer, Van Dijk, and Lodiers sowed native Apeldoorn flower seeds here. This creates a flowery meadow and thus more biodiversity.
What do springheads do?
In the past, springs provided water for paper and grain mills. Now they mainly help retain and drain water, prevent flooding, and cool the city. They also provide more plants and animals. The water flows through underground pipes to the Grift system and eventually to the Apeldoorn Canal.
