Would you like to plant a tree in your garden? On 3 Sundays, you can pick up one or more young saplings for free in the Waarderpolder to plant at home: December 21, February 1, and March 1.
Each tree produces hundreds of seedlings annually. Only a small portion of these can grow into mature trees. Volunteers from More Trees Now carefully dig up the young saplings to distribute them for free. This way, they get a chance to grow further in a new location.
More greenery
Trees and plants are essential for a pleasant living environment. They contribute to our health and provide food and shelter for birds, insects, and other animals. More greenery also provides cooling on hot days and helps reduce water nuisance during heavy rain. That is why we support the initiative of More Trees Now by making the location at Waarderveldweg, opposite number 1, available for the distribution day. Together, we work towards a greener Haarlem.
