Starting Monday, October 6, we will be working on the Oeslingerbaan, the roundabout Langendaal-Drenckgaard, and the Rijksweg. We will do this in steps. These roads are important to reach De Heeg. You may need to detour and/or have extra travel time.

What are we going to do?

  • We will widen the bike paths along the Oeslingerbaan and the bike path on the west side of the Rijksweg.
  • We will create a double crossing for cyclists over the Rijksweg at the height of the Ravensboschpad. The crossing at house number 39 will disappear.
  • The asphalt of the roads and bike paths will be maintained.

Planning

Work will be done in 2 phases: in phase 1 we will work on the Oeslingerbaan, in phase 2 on the Rijksweg. We will start work on October 6 and will be finished by mid-December. More information about the planning will follow.

Phase 1: within the red line; phase 2: within the blue line

Traffic measures

Per phase we completely close the road section concerned for all traffic:

  • Cars and motorcycles: you will be diverted with yellow traffic signs.
  • For cyclists, there are local detours. We will also indicate these with yellow traffic signs.
  • Arriva will set up temporary stops and work with adjusted routes during the work.

Inconvenience

During the work, there may be traffic jams during peak hours. Please allow for extra travel time. Additionally, you may experience extra noise.

More information

Do you live on the Rijksweg? Then you will receive more information from the contractor about the closure of the Rijksweg and the accessibility of your home during the work.
