How is the waste checked?

Waste inspectors check randomly and attach a card to a container if the waste is not sorted properly. They use yellow, orange, and red cards.

There is also a pink card that staff on the garbage truck use. They attach the pink card to the container if there is something wrong with your container. The card states what the issue is, for example, that the waste is not sorted properly. If a pink card is attached to your container, it will not be emptied. We understand that this is inconvenient. But proper sorting helps (us) to achieve a more sustainable Tilburg. If the next time the correct type of waste is in your container, we will empty your container again in the next round.

Tips for Proper Waste Sorting

Many residents are already on the right track and sort their waste correctly. The cards are there to encourage proper waste sorting. Do you want more information about waste and sorting it even better? Check tilburg.nl/afval.
