Every two years, this survey provides valuable insights on topics such as livability, safety, welfare, and amenities. The more residents participate, the better the municipality understands what is happening in neighborhoods and districts. ‘Your opinion helps to improve Zwolle,’ says Mayor Peter Snijders. ‘By participating, you contribute directly to improving your neighborhood and the city as a whole.’

After the survey, the municipality engages in discussions with residents and (neighborhood) partners about the results. Together, they discuss what is going well, what can be improved, and which priorities need attention. Based on this, concrete action points are formulated per neighborhood. The municipality monitors these actions over time and checks at the next Neighborhood-by-Neighborhood Survey whether the efforts have yielded visible results.

Will you participate too?

All residents of Zwolle can participate in the Neighborhood-by-Neighborhood Survey. About 40,000 residents, including members of the Zwolle Citizens Panel, will receive an invitation this week. If you do not receive an invitation but want to participate, you can register via www.zwolle.nl/bvb2026. This website also features practical examples of actions taken based on previous results.
